One of the most striking tech trends of 2012 was the intrusion of the tiny, inexpensive Linux PCs including the Raspberry Shamus, the Spun sugar, and increasingly innumerable others.

I fully expect this movement to remain throughout 2022, every bit I've said before, and this week we got some fresh touchable evidence suggesting that it will.

Specifically, State of Israel-based SolidRun along Thursday undraped as yet another tiny entry: the CuBox Pro, a diminutive twist it calls the world's first ARM-based open germ platform packed with a full 2GB of DDR3 retention.

Just 3 watts of power

Priced at $160, the CuBox Pro is actually a higher-spec variation of the companion's present CuBox, a 2-by-2-by-2-inch PC SolidRun currently sells for $140 with 1GB of Crash.

Now, the Favoring interpretation packs doubly the retentivity into a tiny corner of the same size, still featuring low power consumption and deliberation just 3.2 oz.

The fanless miniature computer is supported connected a Marvell Armada 510 SoC and includes an infrared receiver, gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, and a little-SD expansion slot. The 800MHz dual issue ARM PJ4 processor uses the stylish 32-piece ARMv7 computer architecture and instruction set, SolidRun says.
