There are many gorgeous pictures and neat ideas.

But it feels like they took a dozen of their papers and stapled them together. Then they took all the notes that they had leftover that the journal editors told them to leave out - and stapled those on too.

If they dropped about a quarter of the content altogether, condensed some of the rambling examples to problems, and rearranged the remaining topics to flow better this could go from being a neat book to being a great book.

Recommends it for: Math and physcs students

The arguments and theorems presented are genuinely done in the style of classical geometry, with lots and lots of necessary, illuminating, colorful diagrams. Many of the statements are surprisingly simple, but deceptively so: the proofs are intuitive, but require true insight into both geometry and differential geometry. This is a well done presentation of new results, and every student of geometry and analysis should read through it at least once.
